General Forum Rules

Please post in complete sentences and make an honest attempt at spelling and punctuation. This is not MySpace, Instant Messaging, or any other form of computer shorthand. You have plenty of time to consider and type a complete thought and then hit submit, so please do so.

Creating New Forum Threads

There are plenty of places to post and contribute, so please take a look around and submit a new thread in the right forum. If you think a forum should be created for a certain topic, feel free to PM a staff member and we will look into creating one for you or simply let you know where to post. Constant creation of threads that have nothing to do with the forum you put it in may result in you being warned and further actions may lead to a suspension of your account.

Note: Posting any type of inappropriate material such as pornography, harassing/threatening remarks, hacker information/codes/programs, or anything that violates US copyright laws will lead to an immediate ban and your IP address will be reported to your ISP for their action. This is non-negotiable ... so don't test it.

Flaming

While this is the internet, we believe that you should exercise some self-control and think before you hit submit. Most times flaming makes you like a bigger moron than the person you are talking too; so engage your brain and perhaps take your flaming comments to a PM or an e-mail. However, some good general fun/needling is always welcomed, just try to avoid making it a personal attack on members, their beliefs, family, etc.

Multiple Accounts

Each user shall have one account – multiple accounts will be deleted and the IP may be banned, permanently.

Track Exchange Rules
All raters are asked to give a detailed synopsis about the track they are rating, providing both positive and negative comments if warranted. Failure to do so will most likely result in the rate being deleted and rater warned via a PM. Rating comments should include specifics about why you rated the track a certain way, and your rating numbers should be supported by the comments. When rating a track consider using at least 4-5 sentences as a minimum to describe your rating. For example, a rate that is given ...

OMG! Tht wuz the best ever! You rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Technical: 10 Adrenaline: 10 Overall: 10

... will most likely be removed and the rater warned through a PM. This is a community and we are all here to improve on our designs. Consider when posting a rate how you would want to be treated and be sure to review your rating to make sure it conforms to these very simple standards.

Site Contests

Members are encouraged to take the lead on contests! However, please ensure that you contact our Contest Coordinator through a PM so that we can be sure all the rules and templates are in place, then the actual creation of the contest thread will be done by our Contest Coordinator. Think your contest through completely to include the rules, requirements, coaster template, and dates of the contest to include a conclusion date. Be prepared to discuss these issues prior to it being approved. As a note, judges will be selected by volunteer from those willing to participate.

Violations of the Rules

Punitive action for violation of these rules is to be determined by the staff member who sees it first. Most times a warning is sufficient and that will either be done via a PM or in the forum, so consider your own reputation before being a nuisance in the threads.

Severe violations (violations that seriously ruin the theme or purpose of this site) will be handled immediately and will most likely result in a suspension of your account. All decisions made by the staff are final. If you wish to appeal a decision by the staff, that decision should be discussed with the staff member offline. Reversal of any banning or removal of account (if the need arises) rests with our Administrator and if you wish, you may contact him directly at this e-mail address and discuss the issue privately.
